The Ontario Council of Camera Clubs is excited to present to you a new and very special member benefit. Partnering with Photo Tour Trekkers and Tourcan Vacations, the O3C will offer an ongoing photography tour program.

Please follow the links below for complete details on the the upcoming photography trips that are now open for booking. Each link includes a short description of the location, what you can expect to see and the daily itinerary, with a registration link at the end.

Not only do the trips vary in location and length, each one offers a different price level and photographic opportunity, although each trip is suitable for all skill levels. Our exclusive trips will give you excellent world travel and learning experiences.

Costa Rica Photo Tour – February 2020

O3C Costa Rica Photo Tour – “Nature Up-Close” Costa Rica occupies a privileged spot in the heart of Central America, spanning 19,652 square miles it touches both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The country stands out for its variety of ecosystems, black volcanic beaches, and hosts some of the most beautiful rain forests waiting for the creative eye of the photographer.

We would like to invite you to join us as we photograph and explore the nature and culture Costa Rica has to offer.  We will be spending three nights at Cano Negro Nature Lodge during our trek. Talk about nature in your own back yard … This location will offer our photographers access to trails & nature during our schedule of photo shoots and chance to return during free time.

During our journey, we will experience the rainforests and volcanic regions from high and low offering up a variety of birds and other wildlife

Weekend with the Wolves Photo Tour – March 2020

Weekend with the Wolves Photo Tour – Wolves are legendary because of their spine-tingling howl, and daunting stare. A lone wolf will howl to attract the attention of his pack, while communal howls may send territorial messages from one pack to another. In addition to their fine senses, swift movements, and beautiful fur coats, they make great subjects for photography.

I’m very excited to share the wolf experience with you and even more the beautiful surrounds of Parc Omega and the region of Montebello, Quebec. Parc Omega is also home to Buffalo, Wapitis, Black Bears, Red Deer, Alpine Ibex, Wild Boar and many species of Birds, including Birds of Prey.

We will be staying that the Chateau Montebello during our weekend with the wolves tour. I look forward to you joining us on wolves trek.

Kenya and Tanzania Photo Tour – October 2020

Kenya & Tanzania Photo Tour – “Photographing the wild side of Africa” . Tanzania is recognized, world-wide, for its breathtaking beauty, natural wonders and spectacular wildlife and one of the most popular African countries for travellers from all over the world. Home to Mount Kilimanjaro, Ngorogoro Crater, Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Arusha National Parks. Tanzania is home to over 350 species of wildlife.

Kenya and Tanzania are easily two of Africa’s greatest wildlife watching destinations, home to the Big Five. Which are the lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros.

The primary focus of all adventure travel in Kenya and Tanzania is the wildlife, making these two countries two of the finest destinations in the world for Safari’s.

Galapagos Islands Photo Tour – June 2021

Galapagos Islands … “A wonder of the natural world”  The Galapagos Islands are situated in the Pacific Ocean, approximately 1000 km from the continent of South America.  Seismic and volcanic activity reflect the process that has formed the islands.

Photographers are invited to join us on our photo adventure to these intriguing Islands, we will be visiting the north most island of Genovesa, home of the Red Footed Booby and south most islands home of the wide winged albatos during our tour.  We will photograph and explore the many coves, lagoons, landscapes, birds and animals that make this region one of the most unique places in the world.

As a private photo group this is a great opportunity to capture these remote islands, unique inhabitants, and one of the few places left on the planet where the footprint of the human presence is kept to a minimum. We work with our guides to get on the islands early each morning. Our group will be sailing and onboard our own private yatch. Please note we are pleased to offer three days in Quito during our tour two pre Galapagos and one post.
