The O3C offers annual courses for would be Judges and also for members who just want an insight into the judging process to help them craft images that can score higher and win competitions. We offer the Full Day How to Judge/New Judge Training Course plus the Judges Refresher/Update Seminar for our existing O3C accredited Judges.
How to Judge, New Judges Training Courses, November 16, 2024. (Registration closes November 9, 2024)
Do you compete? Are you wanting to better understand the photo judging process? Do you want to give your images the highest potential for scoring in competitions? Are you interested in the Judge in Training (JIT) program? Would you like to become a photo judge one day? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then this is the course for you!
A printed manual will be mailed to all registrants prior to the course and a certificate of completion will follow afterwards. The course is a prerequisite for those wishing to enter the Judge-in-Training (JIT) program. It is also allowable to take the course solely for your own benefit, to help make you a better photographer.
The course will cover the fundamentals of Photo Judging, The O3C Scoring Model, Constructive commenting, differences in various genres and categories, photo essays and much more.
This is an online ZOOM seminar and you do require a computer connected to the internet. While a webcam is not essential, a microphone is recommended as this is an interactive seminar.
